The Roxbeary Theater

When the folks in Boyds Town need a great escape, they make a date for dinner and a movie at The Roxbeary Theater, an old-fashioned movie house with a tile roof; front fatade, marquee, and movie placards; exterior staircases leadin' to the balcony; and a special back entrance for movie stars. (The Folks at Boyds actually modeled The Roxbeary after an historic Hanover movie theater not far from Boyds Beanquarters near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania!). Tonight's feature stars The Three Bears in "Someone's in My Bed!" and it's rumored that "Shakes Bear in Love" is premierin' right in little ol' Boyds Town (time to roll out the Red Carpet!). The kiddies luv to come for the Saturday matinees, complete with cartoon shorts, ol' time Westerns, and brave super-heroes, like Bat Bear! (Susie and Alphonse spent their last nickel on popcorn and are tryin' ta sneak in the back for a freebee!). But the best part about The Roxbeary is that you don't have to float a loan, or empty the ATM machine just to watch a movie. Prices are strictly "Boyds Town," thank Heavens! There ain't a lotta rules at The Roxbeary, either. Just shhhh! when the lights go down, no throwing Ju Ju Bees, and no VIP Passes for those extra exclusive engagements!
